The functions, duties and powers of the Board of Directors shall be as follows:-
(a) To provide financial support to schools that cannot develop the physical infrastructure of schools from local sources,
(B) Doing the necessary work to increase the educational quality in the school,
(c) To send a written letter to the relevant agency to take action against schools that misappropriate funds provided by the Rural Education Fund,
(d) To monitor the failure of the school to pay the amount to be deposited in the Rural Education Development Fund on time and to send a written notice to the relevant body to take action against the school that does not deposit the amount,
(e) raising the necessary resources for the development of rural education, and
(f) To submit a report of his work to the Government of Nepal every year.
